Lokanath Swami Maharaj is a senior disciple of Srila Prabhupada. In his tenure as Padayatra Minister, he expanded his service worldwide. Then, as the Minister for Srila Prabhupada’s Centennial, Maharaja coordinated a global, four-year campaign that culminated in ISKCON’s worldwide, grand centennial celebrations of 1996.

Lokanath Swami provided the inspiration to begin ISKCON’s yearly Vraja-maṇḍala parikrama in 1987, and currently serves as chairman of the parikrama management board. He is also credited with having developed Navadvīpa-maṇḍala parikrama.

Known for his inspiring lectures and melodious kirtanas, Lokanath Swami attends hundreds of ISKCON festivals worldwide. Lokanath Swami, an author of several books, not only promotes kirtan, but also personally ensures that devotees improve the quality of their chanting of the holy names in the daily Zoom Temple. Maharaja’s ‘Simple Living, High Thinking’ lifestyle makes him one of the prominent leaders in India.
